Political temperatures in Telangana have risen sharply after Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy made a bold statement predicting that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and its chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao would be “politically finished” after the next elections. Reddy expressed strong confidence that the Congress would register a dominant victory, triggering intense reactions across political circles.

Speaking at a public interaction, Revanth Reddy claimed that the people of Telangana have moved past the BRS era and are backing the Congress government’s policies, welfare programs, and governance agenda. He stated that the opposition has lost political relevance and public trust.

The remarks, however, immediately ignited controversy. BRS leaders sharply criticized the Chief Minister, accusing him of arrogance and political drama instead of focusing on governance. They argued that the Congress government is yet to prove its credibility and claimed voters would “respond at the right time.”

Political analysts note that such strong statements indicate the intensifying rivalry between Congress and BRS ahead of future electoral battles. With both parties eager to secure political space and public narrative, Telangana’s political landscape is expected to witness heightened campaigning, aggressive messaging, and sharper ideological confrontations in the coming months.

For now, Revanth Reddy’s declaration has not only energized Congress supporters but also reignited a fierce political debate across the state.
